Club/Fed Results

Interesting letter in the BHW today where reference is made to the agreements made in several clubs that I know of where only the fancier`s first three birds are shown in the club result and when this result is sent to the Fed. obviously distorts the Fed result.With the advent of ETS club secretaries can be faced with enormous results from individual members, sometimes as many as 20/30/'50 pigeons if a member was to appeal against the unwritten three bird rule there is little doubt he would win his appeal but at what cost to comradeship, peace and harmony within the club.I would be very interested to hear an opinion from the many experienced fanciers on this site.

4 bird limit in our club, but all birds clocked count in the fed.

We take the first 4 in club as there is only. 4 prize tickets ,But if a fancier has more birds in then they don't appear in club result but get sent to fed , think we have the first 10 in west section , 10 in the east. Section , so if one fancier had any more than 10 clocked in any more after that are not needed. , I don't think u can deny any one a fed ticket .

3 bird for the club. Fed as many as you wish. Likewise Nationals.

we used to have the 3 bird rule for i think 2 seasons

3 to the club and all to the fed

 

the problem was when you have pool or nom birds

in your club

 

you might have the 1st 5 in the clock but can only count the 1st one

as you need your 12th and 16th birds home for pools

 

 

eg we had a club 2 bird comp going so these 2 birds had to count

in your 3 birds or they wouldnt score any points that week

In Altrincham Fed you can only clock 4... Curtis Wall and Lunt, John Crehan were winning as people know so rules get changed... now John has to fly in 2 clubs to get 8 birds in the Fed totally wrong. Which makes Altrincham Fed result a lie numbers and names and not a true result.

To give the lads a chance in clubs I agree have a limit but not at Fed level if the bird has done it it deserve's recognition. Pigeon racing the only sport i know when you win a race you get congratulated win 2 and you get a nod win week 3 and your a cheating bassa pigeon men there own worse enemy.
