The Grass Cutter Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 SOMETHING FOR THE SNFC TO THE THINK ABOUT FOR 2014. THE FRENCH GOVERMENT ARE SUPPOSED TO BE BRINGING IN A LEVY TAX ON THE MILEAGE TRAVELLED BY FOREIGN VEHICLES OVER ACERTAIN WEIGHT AND LENGTH ON FRENCH ROADS.
Delboy Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 Maybe, with this levy, its time the SNFC looked at Belgium for their racing???
buster151 Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 maybe the UK lot should as well and tax all these lorries coming over here
geordie1234 Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 Maybe, with this levy, its time the SNFC looked at Belgium for their racing???It would make for good racing imo
Delboy Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 It would make for good racing imo Its on the cards George, Belgian racing has to come.
dal2 Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 It would make for good racing imoAre ye gettin some bad racing the noo Geordie?
geordie1234 Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 Are ye gettin some bad racing the noo Geordie?Me personally no as this will be my first year sending over the water, but I believe it to be a fairer race for all when racing from Belg this is just my opinion which means didly squat
DJWa Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 It would make for good racing imo good for racing into the west but bad for raceing into the east and northa direct line from ypres to the north section is over water near the whole wayi think we get about 20 or so miles from dundee and they are over 60 miles from aberdeen we get 47 miles from edinburgh and they are 100 miles from aberdeenthe fairest line for everyone is south
Delboy Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 good for racing into the west but bad for raceing into the east and northa direct line from ypres to the north section is over water near the whole wayi think we get about 20 or so miles from dundee and they are over 60 miles from aberdeen we get 47 miles from edinburgh and they are 100 miles from aberdeenthe fairest line for everyone is south Rubbish, look at the results from Ypres, Liege etc.Liege was won in Carnoustie remember. All races from Belgium have been won from the east/south section.
mealyhen Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 The reason the east won the races from Belgium is because the best Fanciers and pigeons come from the east !!!!
DJWa Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 Rubbish, look at the results from Ypres, Liege etc.Liege was won in Carnoustie remember. All races from Belgium have been won from the east section. do you think the distances reflect the actual route the birds fly i would think the birds all cross around the same area then travel up the east coast of england or split and go up the west side thats why i said the fairest route is southerlywhere all sections get a true distance af far as possable races should be measured over land as far as possas birds wont fly 450 miles over water when they can follow the coastline
dms5686 Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 its been good racing and good returns from ypres so would be sensible to send these doos further into Belgium on the same line of flight
W.D. Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 The reason the east won the races from Belgium is because the best Fanciers and pigeons come from the east !!!!Aye thats right and who gubbed ye aw in the y/b national???!!!
geordie1234 Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 The reason the east won the races from Belgium is because the best Fanciers and pigeons come from the east !!!!There is a lot of great doo men in the east but also many great ones all over the country
walterbmasson Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 do you think the distances reflect the actual route the birds fly i would think the birds all cross around the same area then travel up the east coast of england or split and go up the west side thats why i said the fairest route is southerlywhere all sections get a true distance af far as possable races should be measured over land as far as possas birds wont fly 450 miles over water when they can follow the coastline Davie is 300miles not a good distance ta flee ower water, OSLO {{{ }}} O bit i for got that is not fairta the south and west there flein a we bit farer , HA HA HA ,?
