i agree with rebus should still have been 1/15 and thats it. i have never been for changing and i said it to folk at the meeting on saturday and voted against the 1/5

What you are in effect saying is that a fancier who has raced with the snfc for years in the west and has hardly ever been on a result just has to move east to be guaranteed a national win. If the whole west section(or region if you want) moved to Ayton the same guys would still be last every week

Naw i voted to go down the West like last year,but that has no bearing on the yb/n the drag up the East is there for all to see when there is 16 birds timmed in section G last year before a bird is timmed in section E.Old bird racing from 500 miles different ball game happy to go East with them.

YOU are right there Vinny i wouldn't be scared to race

down the east, but why put your bird in there when it has no chance of winning

when every one from Edinburgh down the east are happy to make the national sprint racing, and i know you never joined the national to fly sprint races, and when any one says that is all the snfc has become, yesterdays news they start spitting feathers sad but when you see sections wining a nat race from as little as 280 mile

m8 i have to agree with you 100% you still have to be a top fancier to win dont matter where it is , but some of the top in the west would certainly be in the running in say ayton as you mentioned

don't see you beat them much and you are in the good flight path, we know that the guy from the west will win they have the tools after all they only need to fly 480 mile from alencon

Well I dont think you know where I am but they dont frighten me as much as they obviously frighten you. Up here in section c if you win the section it is an achievement and a good open position is a bonus. We dont complain about having to pool in the region against the Eyemouth guys we just get on with it and enjoy ourselves in the process and in the winter we have a laugh at guys like you who are negative about anything and everything and are beaten before the racing starts because you cant see the wood for the trees

Sammy some fanciers think they live in the west and start feeling sorry for themselves if they took a reality check and looked at a map they would find they live in central Scotland . Pity some would,nt put the same effort into their doos instead of wringing on here . Guys this thread is about the region changes not a feel sorry for me thread ,let's race doos and enjoy it that's what we keep and race them for regardless of where we live . Jmo

You keep barking on about how hard it is in the west but if you look at channel races last year the west done pretty well. 8 open Ypres, 24 open, alencon, 8 open niort and 38 open clermont. I don't see what's wrong with those results.

most in the ayrshire does that not tell you some thing, niort is for the distance and most opens posisions are won by sprint men. not so many from the distance races

I would say the only race that was totally dominated by the east is the young bird national, however if you look last year the 2nd pigeon in region d and the 1st pigeon in the west section were timed 45 mins apart flying 4 miles from one end of Falkirk to the other.
