mines 4year old hen 4th 9th 32nd 145th open scored every time

Cracker Alec , but judge has a hard job at clarkston , nearly every bird is in tip top condition , in fact the top guys at this show for the last few years never got a ticket in the hens either , John and Jamie carberry . And boy can they get them right . I Handled a cock last weeks of theirs never got a second look , expletive remove would have won a ticket anywhere IMHO .

well gareth there was one pigeon in the class 4 times a winner 500 miles silver award winner never got a second look plus another one 28 th alencon never got a second look

 

Gareths got a hen thats scored 5 times, 4 times 500 miles and it wouldn't get a ticket either. I had a cock that had 4 x 5oo ml tickets, wouldn't get a show ticket. Quite a funny statement to come away with Alex, imo.

well guys even with my wee bit of sucess in this years shows im still of the opinion that no matter who the judge is no one fancier can tell a good racing pigeon from a bad one yes they can pick your best handler or best looker but so can any novice and the reason they cant is there is no difference between a good racer or breeder and a bad one yes now and then a judge will be lucky and pick out a good racer and everyone will think he knows something rubbish its luck we all have this idea in our head what a good racer or breeder handles like or looks like but the majority of good racers or breeders are just not like that its only a mans opinion and a bit of fun in the winter nights and a chance to get together and talk s e anyone who thinks differently is wellcome to come to my loft and pick out my winners and enlighten me

and thats the way it should be charlie you pick the ones you would like to take home m8 thats really all you have to go by when your judging if we could only see inside there head or there heart then we would be able to tell the good yins pal
