aye ready Posted August 14, 2012 Report Posted August 14, 2012 probably clashed with n.west fed av lib 10.00am n.west 10.30am coldsream IF! any of the birds met up peter i don't think it would have caused 50% losses in the forth and clyde peter considering the bulk of the lofts in this fed are 4/5 miles at most west of my loft also the north west are doing 1734 ypm whereas the forth and clyde correct me if i'm wrong are only doing 1400 odd ypm so i don't think our birds met up at all
Delboy Posted August 14, 2012 Report Posted August 14, 2012 I reckon the F/C were attacked by BOP as there are pigeons reported in Wales, Cumbria, Dumfries and Halifax.Half the convoy have headed south and the other half have worked there way home, maybe getting scattered a bit, hence the slower velocities than any other fed.Conditions on Saturday shouldve saw the convoy hitting at least 1700ypm.
aye ready Posted August 14, 2012 Report Posted August 14, 2012 was almond valley 1st to liberate from otterburn on saturday del

Otterburn is a racepoint we haven't personally lost many doos from but had some strange races from it Was down visiting fanciers in East Ord on Sunday, one of them has been flying pigeons for 72 years anyway thats by the by-he said he cannot for the life of him understand why Scottish Feds race from Otterburn, the place is "infested" in his words. Is this a racepoint we on the East route should think about bypassing in future??
