Hi There folks,

As you can see I am very new to the forum and was looking around for more information on the racing scene in the North of Scotland.

Having had a very intermittent career with pigeons from the age of 10 but due to work commitments don't have any at present.(But am hatching a cunning plan).

I have recently moved to Inverness and have not spotted any circling birds whilst out and about.

I did notice some birds whilst passing through Nairn on the train and have seen some posts from Susan who is involved with the Elgin club.

Are there more local clubs ? how does the North Of Scotland Fed work ? Are there regular write ups in the pigeon press on things up north.

Cheers

Dave ;)

G'Day John,

Now how efficient is that. I post and you reply virtually instantly. Thanks. I was looking for results for North Of Scotland races since it strikes me flying this far north must be a real challenge.

Thanks for that.I had found the Fed information the other day but wasn't sure about the abbreviated club names and locations. But am going to stick with the press and forum and I am sure I will pick it up.

Spent a lot of time down in the Manchester area and had a small loft then. Used to fly in Altrincham & District Fed but never got any results. Working for a living got in the way. So will be an armchair racer at present.

Thanks Dave

Thanks Andy,

Got to say I am really impressed by the response of the local and not so local guys/girls on the site. Think although not flying right now the friendly welcome means I am hooked again and will try to help the sport in any way I can.
