Think its about the same as Messac last year Rab, and probably more than expected if truth be told.

i prob will be around the same , gone are the days of the 5000 and 6000 doos at the premier race now it has dropped rapid last few years thoo

Aye, i think the program needs looked at. IMO! we could change to having the First and Last races as the Inland Nationals instead of 2 before the Gold Cup race. Think that would help a LITTLE!! JMO though.

when it used to be sartilly rennes nates and sartilly i think that was the best , the inland races were covered by comines etc which you sent your yearling or inexsperieced 2 yr old to and was a good education of the distance plus the birds were comming back into the same areas , i think a good lot of gold cup candidates bit the dust at the first inland nat again , yes have the inlands after a few channel races ,think that would be better , personally i would only have one or none at all :emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0167-beer:

Agree,

By the time the AGM comes around in January, the poor races from the Inland nationals will all have been forgotten about, even though it has had a disastrous effect on the gold cup, year after year.

Regards Maidstone, don't no why but the returns from Maidstone in this part of the country is probably just as bad if not worse than it was at Cheltenham.

Best of luck guys.... Wish I was there but fire power is zero at the moment for nationals. Hopefully a couple years time will have it all sorted out! Hope returns are as good as can be from distance

Well if it did Frank then it has followed the instincts that a good racing pigeon should have, that is to fly from A-B wind determined of course. Unlike Delboy who wants his train/race his pigeons up the east to teach them to dogleg back into the west because the east has marginally less hawks than the west. JMO

Spoke to Jim Wilson of St Abbs and he,s telling me that when he,s out in his Creel boat he can see 3 pairs of Peregrines ans 17 young ones in a three mile strech of Cliffs so would imagine that there isnt that much difference between East and West

Woolaston this year with Lanarkshire had my Alencon hopefulls at it the 3 doos were my best 2yr olds raced everywhere on the East route as ybs and out to Eastbourne on the East route as yearlings scoring in the club and fed along the way ive never seen any of them, now i sent two yearling latebreds to the same race woolaston, for there third race in there lives due to injury now these latebreds never had a lot of work, and youve guessed it the 2 latebreds came sauntering home late on the day missing all the sheite that the front runners faced IMO LADY LUCK NEEDS TO SMILE ON YOU BIG TIME THESE DAYS ESPECIALLY ON THE WEST ROUTE.
