KMCK Posted March 26, 2012 Report Posted March 26, 2012 we had a training toss at the weekend just for the late breeds as they had not been in a basket but still a wee bit early to but been good weather tho i would think one or two of us would take advantage of it
greenlands Posted March 26, 2012 Report Posted March 26, 2012 Our race is on the 14th. of April,if the weather holds out we should get a good start to the season.
Tony C Posted March 26, 2012 Report Posted March 26, 2012 Our first race in on the 14th of April. My old bird team are still rearing and have had no basket work. I'm hoping to get their young away this week and start training the week after. Long range forecast suggests the wind will swing around to the west in 7-10 days time (fingers crossed) but if not I'll bide my time till it does.

Diamond dave Posted March 26, 2012 Report Posted March 26, 2012 Yep. 14th April for our fed too - sounds like there's going to be a lot of birds in the air that day - I wont be sending me yearlings or latebreds until about 4 or 5 races in and when I can be sure that an early lib is not going to be too cold - Even I was freezing this morning until around 10 0'clock. D.D.
