I have a chance of purchasing a 2nd hand Benzing G2 ETS.I know absolutely nothing about them.

The question I would like answered are Benzing compatible with other ETS's as far as assigning rings and print outs etc.

The answer I always give is check with your club first before you buy any system and make sure its going to be o.k. with the people that have to do all the ring allocating etc. the more different systems in the club the more problems for the people who have to run them.

EVERY Ets HAS to be compatible with EVERY other Ets or they can't be used. You will fined that everybody helps each other anyway and if youv'e got a chance of two BENZING Ets clocks, get in quick.

Lindsay,I'm like you and know nothing about the G2, a lad in our club bought one but had a lot of trouble assigning rings. With a bit of help from the lads on Basics he was able to send it to a lad in Scotland who sorted it.Best of luck.

everyone in our club is on unikon and you wouldnt be allowed to use another ets system so best check with the club sec , cheers

That's no quite within the rules John, if a member has the equipment to process his birds the club are duty bound to accommodate him, so in other words nobody can insist that a member uses clock A B or C, its each to their own.

RPRA rule 222 says, It is the responsibility of the member to check that each organisation he intends to compete with has both the equipment needed, and willing, competent officials necessary for him to use his ets,so if your club was say all Unikon they could turn someone away who bought in another system, so I always say check with your club before you buy a system no matter how cheap or good its supposed to be.
