Roland Posted January 6, 2012 Report Posted January 6, 2012 Having read the new evidence put forward by Amir Khan, rightly or wrongly, I believe he will get what has already been offered him, namely a return fight. Why the constant upset? I believe it is wounded pride, and a genuine feeling of being cheated. If, as the video may well do, shows that there is a unlawful person during the bout talking to Mr Walsh etc. and obviously does take his mind away from the fight during the rounds fought. Did sit in seats not allowed, and what not, then the mere fact that he was there, where he shouldn't be, and talking to, and during to people he shouldn't be, and they do obviously know better, then I believe the result will be recinded and classed as a 'No Bout' and as such a rematch being ordered with Khan the holder stil the holder of his titles. And quite rightly too. It will be interesting to see the outcome and the excuse - if any - why the rules were flouted and more so by whom and to what reason.Seems this appeal is on again and will do so till they are in the ring again.Where and when remains to be seen. But I don't believe it will be either Washington or Manchester.

celtic Posted January 7, 2012 Report Posted January 7, 2012 He has to get a rematch, and he,ll knock the other fella out when he does !.
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted January 7, 2012 Report Posted January 7, 2012 He has to get a rematch, and he,ll knock the other fella out when he does !. well that is debatable,he could not do it first time round and having watched the fight he was well beaten in my opinion,he should just accept the fact he was beaten by somebody who was better ON THE NIGHT,but maybe Khan is the better fighter and if there is a re match then he [khan] can let his gloves do the talking instead of his mouth, but personally I do not think he is as good as he thinks he is as he has not really beaten anybody of any standing to date that I know of.
just ask me Posted January 7, 2012 Report Posted January 7, 2012 perterson is a very average boxer in the states he will come with the same game plan again as he knows no different while khan lost the first fight by 2 rounds in my book even without the points deduction khan the last 5 rounds was just throwing straight left and right hands that were in the most part not getting though and on the back foot in the states more so than here they always give close rounds to the to the boxer going forward unless you have a very good counter puncher e.g mayweather who hits clean hurtful shots while moving back wards i think this time khan will be a lot more aggressive and wont get in so close and win the fight then be hyped up in the states for a easy target get a knock out then the mayweather may happen that may not happen as i feel if he wins the pac man fight and i think he will he will hang up his gloves as he will have noting left to prove
Roland Posted January 7, 2012 Author Report Posted January 7, 2012 Well after all the ballo Perterson has backed out of a return after all. Says - and as there was no illegal rematch clause - that he wants to fight ... Easier opponents. Don't blame him there either. Can say like some that 'He has bad mouthed me, and so I won't fight him'! Many do the same and make a lot more money than the would otherwise by avoiding better opponents.... As I've often quoted. So that is why Khan is striving so hard for the ruling bodies to take a hand in getting a rematch. Had some big pay days ahead if he hadn't lost his title. AND DID / was doing as Hatton and Calzaghe did, but that is out the window as of now. He will be fighting foes that want a shot at the title and he will be just a stepping stone if not careful.
celtic Posted January 7, 2012 Report Posted January 7, 2012 I don,t think the other fella was the better fighter on the night, maybe khan under estimated him but I still think khan deserved to win no doubt, would you just accept it tummy if you had been robbed of your world title ? I don,t think so why so should khan be any different ?Watch the rematch and we,ll see what happens

Roland Posted January 13, 2012 Author Report Posted January 13, 2012 Now I see it will be order a WBA return. If the IBF don't follow suit I'd wager that he forfiets the WBA version and refuse the fight. May do in any case..../ then I feel that they wouldn't give tyhe title back to Khan, but give him a maditory opponent at least - or best. Think Petterson will welch on any return personally. I certainly hope so. Now food for fought Did we see the best Petterson, and he'd have a job to raise his game again to that level ... which if one is honest isn't quite good enough, and did we see an over confident Khan out os sorts... I think in reflection that this is the senario and Petterson has to go else where to get a big pay day. then may be good pay days being used as a stepping stone for title shots. JMO.
Guest Tooshy Boy Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 I THINK KHAN IS RUBISH ANYWAY .GIVE HIM A JOB IN ASDA STACKING SELVES.///

Roland Posted January 13, 2012 Author Report Posted January 13, 2012 I think 'Return Clauses' are a illegal and a thing of the past via most ruling bodies....
just ask me Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 the funny thing as far as i know peterson has yet to refuse khan a rematch
Tony C Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 If a 'rematch' is going ahead I think it only right neither of them get a purse, just expenses to be paid.
JohnQuinn Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Well i'm still of the opinion Khan was Cheated in the first fight and believe he will stop Peterson next time around. JMO Peterson did in fact withdraw the offer of a rematch after Khan's first appeal to the IBF but has been quiet about it since the WBA granted Khan the return fight. Ps. i'm no fan of Amir Khan but i'm less of a fan of Cheating

Ps. i'm no fan of Amir Khan but i'm less of a fan of Cheating do you not think john he took a lot of back ward steps in the last 4 or 5 rounds and only throwing a lot of straight punches that hit the gloves of Peterson i know he got though a few times and hurt Peterson i just felt peterson got though just as much as khan and was chasing down khan all the time
Roland Posted January 19, 2012 Author Report Posted January 19, 2012 the funny thing as far as i know peterson has yet to refuse khan a rematch Oh yes he has. Still waiting to see what his excuse will be now! had welched after spout he would give a return, but of course after the replys watched by his handlers, they will undoubtedly give him a wide berth.
Roland Posted January 19, 2012 Author Report Posted January 19, 2012 Think I agree with John. He should have been sharper than to be didled. I am always of the opinion that if you want the title Fight for it and win it! Paterson didn't do that... but on the otherside Khans' defence of the title was shambollic to say the least so he got what his should have been aware of...
just ask me Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 the pundits on sky all 3 if i remember correctly thought that Peterson won the fight too so im not alone on this also funny how golden boy promotions pulled out of the ibf hearing when they heard this man was going to turn up to give his evidence it now looks like khan will fight for only one belt in the rematch i still think khan will win the rematch as Peterson is very ordinary his record will tell you that Peterson was hand picked by golden boy promotions as a easy fight for khan so they could build him up to a big fight with floyd the fight was a disaster for golden boy the truth is Peterson is ordinary at best and khan is only a little better mayweather would probably beat them both at the same time
JohnQuinn Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 do you not think john he took a lot of back ward steps in the last 4 or 5 rounds and only throwing a lot of straight punches that hit the gloves of Peterson i know he got though a few times and hurt Peterson i just felt peterson got though just as much as khan and was chasing down khan all the time I think he realised when he was getting points deducted that he was being robbed and that would put anyone off, in saying that i think i'd rather have walked away with Khan's face than Peterson's, who was badly swollen around the eyes compared to abrasive injuries on Khan.Boxing is a bit like fitba rules, its just yer interpretation of what you see, my eyes said Khan won that fight. JMO.
