preston powerblast Posted November 18, 2011 Report Posted November 18, 2011 Kev paired up the allotment birds over ten days ago. Some have gone down already. I'm pairing up next week,I've got all the golden oldies. But the first round half is going for stock. As it may be the last year for some of the older birds.Second rounders are going to be for each of our race teams.Reason I like to pair up early, is to get a bit of age on them for racing.

preston powerblast Posted November 18, 2011 Report Posted November 18, 2011 3rd of January for rings. The new rings being a little wider seem to help.
sapper756 Posted November 19, 2011 Report Posted November 19, 2011 I intend to start introducing new pairings today, and let them spend a bit of time alone in a section, before splitting when it gets dark. Will repeat this over the next couple of weeks, and eventually leave them together over night.http://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0126-nerd.gif
preston powerblast Posted November 19, 2011 Report Posted November 19, 2011 We have a huge advantage with our birds, as they have been split up for a year, as they were not bred from last year, so I feel they should go down extremely quick.
Guest Tooshy Boy Posted November 19, 2011 Report Posted November 19, 2011 DOO YOU KEEP A LOT OF BIRDS .
OLDYELLOW Posted November 19, 2011 Report Posted November 19, 2011 3rd of January for rings. The new rings being a little wider seem to help. are you refering to N.W.H.U rings ????
