OLDYELLOW Posted August 28, 2011 Report Posted August 28, 2011 really good full of vitamins and antioxidants if you collect a load before wild birds get them juice them and freeze them in freezer ice bags then add a couple to water each week my trees are just starting to ripen I hope to get a few frozen fer next year another friend juices them and adds a bottle of cider vinegar to them

OLDYELLOW Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 If you read Elderberrys contain small amounts of cyanide poisonous to us but harmless to the birds in small quantity's , I believe i read that a popular cancer cure was bracken roots boiled for use in treating canker , this also a source of cyanide is the bracken plant , the old ways of treating always seems to spring back to mind as there usually something in the old ways
