blucock Posted August 28, 2011 Report Posted August 28, 2011 Good day all, just to let you all know that Ayrshire Federation's hard working committee have put together a fantastic auction of later bred youngsters for Federation progression funds and our charity donations and they will be sold on Sun 11th September at Crookedholme Community Centre, near Kilmarnock (postcode KA3 6LD) - viewing will be 11am and the sale will commence approx 12 midday. There will be over 60 lots available on the day! Why not fill a motor and take a drive over to Ayrshire, there will be plenty for everyone and food and refreshments at the cash bar. An example of the top UK fanciers donating are: Ian Cameron of Broadholme, Darren Peters of East Heckington, Margaret & Terry McGeechan of S*expletive removed*horpe, Nigel Laycock of Womersley, Paul Woolliss of Grimsby, Tony Blendell of Cleethorpes, Albert Cousins & Son of Ballylesson, Imran Malik & Partners of Tolworth, Formula1Lofts of Leigh-on-Sea, G S Daykin of Nottingham , E Hodgson & Son of Annan, Mr & Mrs Chris Little of Eastriggs, Frank Bristow of Horbling and many top lofts in the Ayrshire region including Tom Smith of Dalry, Harvey Pollock of Irvine, J J & C Nicol of Stevenston, J R Mills of Hurlford, Derek McCullen of Kilmaurs, Robert "speedy" Reid of Beith etc Telephone bids and online bids will be welcomed from now until midnight Sat 10th September for the lots which can be viewed on the Ayrshire fed web page. The last online bid will be carried forward to the saleroom. Telephone bids will be accepted from registered bidders during the sale. And there are some beauties there, the birds given are a very high standard as the fanciers attending the sale will see tomorrow morning.

I think there will be a good few fanciers from outside Ayrshire bidding tomorrow mind. Im not sure if your post is supposed to be a dig or not, but let's hope other fanciers support this sale - after all their has been alot of hard work gone in. I know of 4 Ayrshire fanciers that bought doos at Newmains and I have only spoke to a few, bearing in mind this sale coming up tomorrow the money only goes so far

Novice Posted September 11, 2011 Report Posted September 11, 2011 great money for the ayrshire boys,well run sale. :) I attended this sale which was the most professionally run pigeon auction I have attended.Obviously a great deal of thought and effort went into this from the committee.I would just like to say a very well done to all of them.Even the food was great.
