JohnQuinn Posted August 28, 2011 Report Posted August 28, 2011 The president called me and he is calling a meeting for WEDNESDAY Night at the Beltane Bowling club to discuss the whereabouts of next weeks race. I suggest EVERYONE with an interest in this should let their club delegate know their wishes BEFORE the meeting!!! ATB. Delegates will of course be lettered with the time and date of the meeting, this thread is NOT OFFICIAL notice. Ps. There will only be ONE RACE so sending one transporter to Otterburn and one to Thirsk is NOT ON THE AGENDA.

We have a club meeting tomorrow so i will get a definate on which way to vote. Perhaps a compromise would be to have a Thirsk this week which keeps a lot of members happy including myself, followed by a Otterburn race the following week this for the members that are wishing to give there later bred pigeons a race before the season finishes, im sure this would keep all members happy. Possible the fed would loose a couple of pounds but its the members money.

lanarkshire lad Posted August 28, 2011 Report Posted August 28, 2011 My guess is most will go for otterburn when you consider the time of the year and Natural ybs falling to bits its maybe a wise move to put most of them away until next year.Its a different outlook for the guys on the darkness there looking for more races at this time of year.I will vote for otterburn but if the fed votes for thirsk then i will send a few just the same.

frank-123 Posted August 28, 2011 Report Posted August 28, 2011 still cant believe this meeting has been called is the race meeting programme for October cancelled we will meet up the doo club on a Wednesday and just decide where we will race from next year i mind a couple of years back when we changed the race programme half way through the season we needed a 2/3 majority to do it was it decided by the doo club to change that rule?
