Guest Gareth Rankin Posted September 5, 2011 Report Posted September 5, 2011 Davie was upset and disappointed that the police had suggested to the Hamilton advertiser reporter that it was down to a electrical fault that caused the fire, Davie doesn't have any fitted electrics within the loft so can only imagine that the police do not want the hassle of dealing with arson, after all its just a shed to them. Was thinking that maybe it was for the best that the report didn't put it down to arson as it might have planted the idea into some of the young thugs heads of something to do to pass their time. I sent an email to the Hamilton Advertiser and a link to pigeonbasics thread on the fire. Was a little disappointed that no one from the paper went out of their way to phone myself as there are many people who require a great deal of thanks. Never trust a reporter. Heres the link to the report, doesn't show the photo of the burnt loft or the new loft but it did appear in the paper, will maybe try and contact someone at the Daily record about the story.http://www.hamiltonadvertiser.co.uk/news/local-news/hamilton-news/2011/09/01/fancier-davie-84-devasted-after-loft-blaze-kills-nine-pigeons-51525-29337596/ ThanksGareth

Guest Gareth Rankin Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 The help has been tremendous, Only on Friday i received 2 class well bred young birds from Chris Little to take up to Davie, see attached photo, struggled to get a decent picture of them. Tom Corrie (Chrissyboy) is delivering 4 just out of the nest tonight to Davie which he is extremely thankful for. This will take Davie up to his 9 pair for next year that he requires.
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 Special thanks to members of basics who have offered accessories, and also older pigeons that Davie doesnt have the room to keep. A great gesture from each and every one of them. :emoticon-0137-clapping:
