yeboah Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 I feed all stock in the nest from the day they lay until youngsters are weaned this way they never leave nest when being fed makes them all very tame ,youngsters pick up on this very quickly and come to eat with parents straight away at young age if they don't parents are to well fed hate seeing food left just gets soiled and a don't like no one crapping on mine ,seen me leaving young when they are able to fly back to there on nest not troubled with birds being scalped must be they are all contented ,never take them away to young as i find they are more prone to ailments but that's just me everyone to there on .

Guest IB Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 Mine have food & water in the box. They learn quick from their parents and are soon self-sufficient so no burden on the pair and therefore no big push to shift them. Prefer to move them all at same time as 'newer' ones seem prone to being bullied by ones that have been put in the YB end first. That's why I keep my 1st & 2nd rounds seperate.
Guest Freebird Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 Geo, think the most important thing is they know how and where to get a drink. How many you breeding? Good luck.
