JohnQuinn Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 george harris had one direct off fallahill years ago was speaking to george at blackpool and he mentioned this doo and said it was the best producer he ever owned and was it not a vanhee/stichelbaut I believe either the sire or dam was a Van Hee X Sticlebaut from George Brownlee of Carluke, but i'm not sure Both parents were of this breeding.
aye ready Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 I believe either the sire or dam was a Van Hee X Sticlebaut from George Brownlee of Carluke, but i'm not sure Both parents were of this breeding.i think you may be right john i'm sure brownlee was responsible for one half of the breeding but like you i'm unsure which
JohnQuinn Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 (edited) These Doos of George's bred umpteen winners for other fanciers across Scotland, in fact i THINK more National WINNERS have been bred from these birds than any other in the country, though its a while now since that was a fact, maybe John Hodgson will hold that distinction these days. nogin Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 I WOULD LIKE TO INFORM YOUS GEORGE BROWNLIE HAS STARTED BACK UP.

Diamond dave Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 I've got this line of pigeons and I am currently building my loft around them. They are fantastic birds and I have very high hopes for them this year - going to Barcelona for the first time!!!!!Mine are of the Cutliffe lines. The Van Hee lines would appear to have come from F. Hinchcliffe of Glossop. They include birds such as Silk Pau cock and Silk my Girl and the Motta hen and Mottas daughter as well as Fallowhill-Superstar who was a son of Mottas daughter.Does anyone know anything about Mr Hinchcliffe from Glossop....?I would also love to know more about this gentleman that you met at Blackpool - is he a basics member? D.D.
