catchthepigeon Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Personally i think it's quite comical to see all the people who are now complaining as they dont get FREE and yes i said free advertising to sell all they stuff they wish to sell come on people get a grip and get into the real world..you cant sell them for free in the BHW so why should you do it for free on here???? Answers on a postcard please :P ;D ;D ;D ;D And i know that some people send in donations after a sale but not all do it so i think this is a good move and very cheap at the price ;) 8) 8) 8) 8) there is other free papers you can advertise in but thats only because they make the money back on the price of the papers the ones complaining are most likely the ones off loading there rubbish if you had faith in what you were selling then you wouldnt bat a eyelid at £25
grizzal Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 All I can say is if you dont agree with it dont pay it. £25 for 12 adverts is great value 8) 8)jmo
demolition man Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 25 quid worth every penny. Regards
Guest joshdonlan Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 BHW have a lot bigger audience, i wasnt saying birds sold on here are inferior i was saying if i was going to sell a quality bird i would put them in the BHW, but unfortunately that isnt the case as i have rollers ;D but i were to sell my rollers on here it would cost me the equivelant of 2 and a half birds :-/ what im saying is there are all different markets so the whole sales thing needs a revamp IMO :-/ A bargains section where you pay very little a section where items are worth upto £30 and then a exclusive section where items making good money should be sold, and an auction section. Each section having a relevant price

THE FIFER Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 its 25 a year to be a gold member unless i am wrong if i was just selling birds say once a year i would soon use the bhw i had some pups for sale if i wanted to put them on here i would have to become a gold member i dont sell pigeons so its not werth it to me were i might not even sell one on here so i paid 30 to put them in the paper £30 for the paper and what garantee have you got in the paper to sell, also a paper just lasts 1 day with most people, Selling Options 1. A one off payment of £25.00 for One year's gold membership to the site - This entitles you to up to 12 selling adverts on the site in this period. 2. For those wishing to just sell the odd item the cost is £7.50 per advert up to £150 in value and an additional 10% after this threshold.

showman Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 it would be better i the was a charge per advert the person who sells loads of birds they are getting it for next to nowt the person who just sells say once its still cheap but you would be better putting a advert in the bhw because its the same price and more would see it in the bhw while the people who sell a number of times are better of on here buy a long way So, lets say I have 10 pigeons to sell. I contact the BHW with their details, and tell them I want colour photos of each one, and can they run the advert until the birds are sold......make it free for people to view my advert......give it a worldwide audience ( again free )....certainly, they say........so lets all guess how close to £25.00 they will charge. Get real !!!!!!

Each section having a relevant price This does raise a good point and maybe admin could open a section for items under £20 eg for maybe £1 per add. This would be a compromise for anybody selling the odd basket, or feeders and loft equiptment etc.
Guest grizzler Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 £25 quid is an absolute bargain, tell me where you can get better value than that.pay your money,or go somewhere else.and stop your moaning.

BLACK W F Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 what a carry on over nothing £25 problem is some folk want everthing for nothing if it had been enforced that 10p/cent of sale donation for selling on site would cost a lot more great value and if i decide to sell will gladly pay the £25 if you dont want to pay dont advertise on site your choice JMO
