Fraserburgh West End Racing Pigeon Club

 

1st Annual Open Show (held under SHU rules)

 

Sunday 21st November 2010

 

To be held in the West End Bowling Green Hall, Hamilton Road, Fraserburgh.

 

All birds to be penned between 10am and 11am and judging will start at 11am prompt.

 

Judges are Bob Whyte (Fraserburgh) and Bob McDonald (Fraserburgh).

 

Show open to the public at 1pm. Donations at the door.

 

Presentation of prizes at 3.15pm. No birds to be uplifted prior to 3.45pm.

 

Special prizes to be awarded to Best in Show, Best opposite Sex, Best Youngbird and Best Youngbird Opposite Sex.

 

Refreshments will be available in the hall.

2. 300 mile Hen

3. Likeliest Old Cock

4. Likeliest Old Hen

5. Through Wires Cock (any age)

6. Through Wires Hen (any age)

7. 100 mile Young Cock

8. 100 mile Young Hen

9. Likeliest Young Cock

10. Likeliest Young Hen

 

Six prize cards per class.

 

Entries are 50p per bird up to 20 birds, all entries over 20 are free. No limit to entries.

thanks ian this will be the first show in fraserburgh for about 18 year .hopefully some of the fancy will come out of hibernation and support the show .would also like to give a special thanks to paul thompson (blue chequer pied) for helping me so much with all the organising with the schedule,s and judges forms and other stuff

thanks alex i have got our local paper involved i have to phone them back on monday they are keen to take some photos of the doos and do a story .i am also hoping to give a good donation to the fraserburgh old age pensioners from the doo club its them that owns the hall we are having the show in . there seems to be a good bit of intrest in it which is encouraging .

not quite sure doug as this is the first show in the town for 18 year but the signs are very encouraging . there is some coming from as far as elgin and banff to enter doos which is great the more the merrier

doug thanks very much for the offer its put me in a predictument as i am not holding this show in the hope of getting club funds i am hoping it will genorate some intrest in the public and if i get 1 person started in the doos it will be a huge success in my eyes
