cemetary Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 When people on the site buy birds, may it be an auction or whatever and dont pay for them, they shouldnt be allowed to bid or buy on here for a period of 3 months. Its when you see them on here, it makes me vomit, maybe this should be looked at with the powers above. What is your thoughts on this.
ALF Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 WHO DIDNAE PAY FIR YIR DOOS MUCKER WHERE'S MA BLOODY GUN AND WE'LL SORT THEM OOT
just ask me Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 Buyers Guidelines Buying on the site Anyone wishing to purchase birds or equipment from Gold members on Pigeonbasics can do so by the following means - - Making a sensible offer on the thread - Meeting the asking price asked by the vendor - Discussing and coming to agreement on an offer via the site PM function - Bidding in auction where applicable The seller will specify which of the above selling terms he is applying. Failure to honour an agreement Should a buyer agree a sale and then not follow it through with out a valid reason they may have their right to buy on Pigeonbasics.com withdrawn and be banned from the site selling boards. Buyers and sellers alike should endeavour to save any relevant private messages until the sale is concluded. Any issues between buyer and seller if not concluded amicably can be taken to the site admin for review. there is something in place already

DJWa Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 banned from bidding full stop i recon`100% agree
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 Ban should not be just for this site, the whole of the pigeon sport should know who he is, zero tolerance.
Guest bakes Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 banned from bidding full stop i recon agree but as long as they have got a reason for it say somethink crops up and money not there no more at least tell the owner so he can then offer them to the second highest bidder best way saves all with haveing to re list bird and so on. all best.
DJWa Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 agree but as long as they have got a reason for it say somethink crops up and money not there no more at least tell the owner so he can then offer them to the second highest bidder best way saves all with haveing to re list bird and so on. all best. that wouldnt work either if you have a bidding war between 2 fanciers then the winner pulls outthe birds price would be inflated especially if the winning bidder had no intention of paying in the 1st placejust bumping up the price
cemetary Posted November 4, 2010 Author Report Posted November 4, 2010 At the end owe the day, if they buy the bird they pay for it full stop. If something comes up, then they can make an agreement between them.
Ian McKay Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 Unhappy to see this raising it's ugly head. I have run a few sales on here and I have a list of people I will NOT be accepting bids fromI will let them know there bid is not being accepted and why It is annoying when they promise to pay collect the birds them totally ignore you There are always ways round it get your mate to bid for you but even that can go wrong If you run enough sales you get to know them Some people have a very brass neck
JohnQuinn Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 that wouldnt work either if you have a bidding war between 2 fanciers then the winner pulls outthe birds price would be inflated especially if the winning bidder had no intention of paying in the 1st placejust bumping up the price Correct, non payment is not acceptable to me. When bidding you should have the means to back it up and you should send it on without delay to the seller, then Nothing can "come up" that will use that money up.I wouldn't put it past a seller to have a friend bid to put the price up, see it at Car auctions every week and i reckon it must happen everywhere. Money breeds dishonesty. jmo

Guest lenwadebob Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 I think there is a board set up for Gold members if they wish to raise any concerns openly to other gold members etc etc? Otherwise as JAM has highlighted the selling (and buying guidelines) would encourage anyone having problems with a potential buyer to highlight this to Fifer or any of the active moderators and this can be looked into and logged accordingly. Have done this already Chris. Pointed out this and so has my son in the past (and posted it on the open forum, only for it to be removed) and yet a seller is still able to sell on this site who has NOT paid for birds purchased on my sons "house move" sale. So where are the rules put in place.
