I am sure the majority of us have a colour of pigeon we have an eye for or favour.

I personally like a nice Dark Piedhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE COLOUR?

I was told the red cock above is a Barker,I got him because the lad was packing in and he got it in a bereavement sale.

never heard of tortoise coloured pigeons, got any pics oldyellow ?

i havent got one bred one years ago but never repeated the colour , best described as a black background with red grizzle on top of the black unlike a bronze where the red is under the black :) i have been told how to repeat but be a while before i can get it to work again :) the pairing that bred this colour for me was a dark chequer cock with bronze bars and a red grizle hen , but i've been told to use a blue bar grizzle with a red ;)

the ones i was on about from long ago old yellow were red all over bordering on brown and no white in feathers like the one you got in pic,,,,,that sight of those coloured red pigeons never left me,but, never seen none since and that i believe was about 30 odd years ago now and i know they were dr rigg barkers 100% then at that time !!!

The ones I got from him were deep red and red cheqs but when I visited him he had one or two that were almost totally brown with the odd black splash on them
