final price drop £1600 or i will keep 18ft and make 2 ends and sell it smaller cheers

think it would be better to make 2 end as you say as it is a bit big for most gardens. think the size is putting people off.

Looking forward to all of the space ! (40 ' B) )

Yes, the loft sits upon a 40' x 12' "pier" foundation. 40' x 8' for the loft and the 40' x 4' for the front walkway. I dug 18 ( 6 x 3 ) 2' x 2' x 1' holes which were filled with concrete, when they were setting, I cut 6" drainage pipes to the level, sank them into the holes and filled them with concrete too.

Once filled, I then inserted one end of a steel strap and allowed the concrete to cure. Once cured, I placed a wooden sub floor of 9" x 3" scaffolding boards, on edge, upon the piers and completed the strapping, looping the straps over the sub floor and reattachhing them to the sides of the piers with masonry nails.

Really solid job - needs to be as we get some serious winds here in the winter. I have documented the entire relocation and rebuild on the following thread on P1geon Ch4t...

There are over 80 photo's and a diary included.

Hope this helps and answers your query.
