lanarkshire is needing to go back down the west route less traffic what do u think sammy

Lanarkshire members who want to go down the west have Short memories, it was so bad we had to have a EGM to switch back down the East for the young bird program and that was only 3-4 years ago. Why would you think it will be any better now??

as it stands i would not vote to go west

but if we fight back i see no problem going west again

so from solway, lanarkshire, midland ,ayrshire, ballockmyle, south lanarkshire

keep to the m74 /m6 this winter and spring

all other feds keep to the m8 and a68 it could be a whole lot better next year

but will you just sit back and let some others do the work ?

John how much worse can it get going down the west, I personally lost 20 birds at Weatherby

21 birds at Conset and 7 up until now at this bloody Conset .never ever lost that

amount of birds going down the west.only other way is fly the north road, there are feds that have

done it with good success, I believe.OMO

its not everyone that can breed large numbers to get them through a season like you can novo thats why a lot of guys are wiped out they have been breeding the same numbers for years its down to BOP for all the losses thats what it is there is men on this site and other sites telling everone not to go down that side of the country for the number of bop that are there and yet you seem to think they leave the mid fed alone and you have good returns well you are exceptioanl flyer that can escape it so well done to you ;):D:D

Same here. North West Fed raced west route in 2005, meeting mid-season to change YBs back to east. Otherwise a large number of fanciers wouldn't have been racing YBs that year,

Route was changed because of the fear that the BOP problem would have damaging to the young bird season, but is the east route any better for BOP than the west, look at Tim Hall from Chirnside who is chucking the sport because it is that bad down there were we all think that its honeymoon country in regards to the BOP problem.

The solway fed has switched back and forth frae west tae east over the last decade. At first the racin from the east seemed better and the returns were good. Sadly it eventually evened itself out. The west is obviously a harder route than the much flatter east coast purely because of the Cumbrian Hills and for you boys further up the Moffat Hills come into play.

First OB racing back since 07 and never seen a season like it for birds coming back in shreds or with bits of tail or wing missing. At one point had 14 old birds on the injury list
