well brian you say ex amount of users there are plenty who like me are logged on all the time but hardly look in except to pick up pms or basically send a pm whats been stated by the guys the site in my view has changed into a very boreing site thats probally one of the reasons the best mod on here has resigned this site is dieing on its feet unfotunatly but disguising the fact dont change it not only that its basically a selling site which is a pity untill big changes are made personel in management changes the exodus will continue

I think some just look to put a point across whether with any merit or not! Some may have hidden, or personal agenda's, others just follow like sheep.

As far as I'm concened Basic is as good, indeed if not better for the up lift. Certainly not any worse... just means some can't be asked to have a look around it and don't want to accept change. Well as I heard so often on many of an variety of reasons it is apt here. 'It's here, will stay so get on with it and stop whinging and moaning about nothing'. Empty vessels springs to mine, Gosh haven't these knocker got anything better to do with their lot. Get a life and get over it, or at best send a discreet Pm. to the Mod's offering some secsible and worthwhile, constructive critasism.

And as for spouting about IB, they is rot, whether personal or not! Gosh if the site can tolerate Maid Marrion - Maidment then IB isn't a pimple on a cows ar&e. And certain in that scenario any cause whatsoever.

Let's face it in a popuality posting Chris struggled to get 3% of his mucker to vote for him. Indeed 97% of folks on here that voted was for him to leave. He remained, still here and the site goes from stength to strength in real terms.

I don,t agree that the site is dying on it,s feet, unfortunately the length of time the site was down, in my opinion has cost it membership, I personally think the new lay out is a move forward, and once sussed it is easy. However, for folks to say that others have left because of individuals, well I can not comment on that I am sad that some of the OLD MEMEBERS, no longer post on here, as I did enjoy the banter, but they have since the down time found somewhere else. In an ideal world we would all get on (and all support the same team" the bhoys") but unfortunately we do not live in such a world. there are quite a few pigeon sites up and running now, and I myself visit most of them, although I look upon Basics as my favourite. So people should enjoy which ever site they prefer, and if one site provides the enjoyment and service that individual is seeking, then good luck to them Hopefully some of those who have drifted away may return, if not, then so be it. What I have noticed is, on this site you do not see members downing other sites, as you do on another site, and this is something, we as PB members should be proud of.

I am disappointed with the way the site has been changed since the shut down. It is all very well messing about with it but it should always be born in mind that first and foremost the site should be easy to operate. After all it is meant to be an organ of communication. I have no idea as to the average age of the users of this site but the average age of the modern Pigeon Fancier is high. And a great many older Fanciers would not know how to switch a computor on never mind navigating around a complicated forum. Sorry lads, but you need to go back and have another look or, as has already been said, the whole pack of cards will come tumbling down. To be honest, I miss the Forum in it's previous format and I am loosing interest in it now that it has become modern.

I am a little confused to the constant comments of the site no longer being user friendly, and this is why folks have gone to another site, I have looked at this other site, and can,t quite work out what is so different, other than this one being more modern looking, with more information on the protal than the other, which can only be good, as an ORGAN OF COMMUNICATION, both seem to have the same formats, ie, portal etc which most people tend to stick tohttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif so, is it just a simple case of people who have an axe to grind with certain individuals, constantly coming on here and downing the site. Also the moderation of this site has been compared to the moderation of another site, hardly fair, as the other site is relatively new, and as yet the mods, have not yet had to deal with conflict, disagreements, members abusing fellow members, members threatening others etc, once the mods have demonstrated how they deal with such situations, then it would be fair to compare. Easy to moderate a site when all in the garden is rosey, this has been proved in the past, when another site started up, and members from here left to join, and did nothing on the other site but run this one down. BRIAN INSTEAD OF JUMPING ON THE DEFENSIVE why not ask these members whot they would like to see on the site and whot would make it easier for them to use it , they cant all be wrong
