hi all just bought 3 pigeons they were sent out yesaterday morning from birmingham travelling 2 brighton its 6 20 pm next day no pigeons tried ringing no answer if pigeons turn up tommorow can i claim compenastion  if they are dead

They won't be dead - hell if they can survive several days in a transporter - they can survive two days in a cardboard box - don't be so pessimistic  :K)

I just refused to pay last time, phoned his boss and said i wanted a compensation claim form.

 

His boss turned round and said it aint my company i only work for them, give him the birds.

 

If you dont ask you dont get!

Next day! and you're worried they are dead! Then Amtrax have done you a favour... with a constitution like that they wouldn't have been able to fly upto a nest, let alone mate.... Would have been only good for a taxidermist any road if dead already. Golly talk about mixing dirt with water to throw Mud!

you can claim compensation,ive seen it somewhere but not the full amount you paid for the birds,seagull has all the rights to be pissed off so would i,if they are putting there prices up then they should be on time and thats before 12.But also they are setting any body on driving ive had asians,irakis etc etc deliver and some couldnt speak english.Nothink against different cultures its amtrak that want a kick up the ass.

But if you pay for a service then you have the right to get the service, if it was a 2 or 3 day service would you still pay £30, no you would want it a lot cheaper.

 

For example you can service your car £120 if you want the correct bits used, or should i just charge you the full amount and use parts of the last car i serviced as they look ok and you shouldnt breakdown (i can charge you less for that if you want to take the risk), you wouldnt want to pay full price then, would you.

 

Same principle in my mind.

Must admit i had to laugh when i read the news that they were putting their prices up again due to the increase in costs ....fuel..... did nobody tell them that diesel has actually come down by approx 8p a litre since their previous increase. goes to show what happens when you have a monopoly.

dont see how u can compare a bird on a transporter to bein in an amtrak box...

they get fed and watered in a transporter they dont with amtrak. for insurance purposes they are not allowed to open any packages ...dont know if they do or not.

 

i wont comment on amtak as ive had two recent bad experiences with their services ...1 after the other

Amtrac can't fault them.  Used them twice last week very good service recieved from them.

Infact would'nt use any other company(cos their isnt one)thanks amtrac for the first class service i recieved.Ihope your put your price's up another £10 after all £30 isnt anoth to cover the hard work and abuse your put up with off fellow pigeon fanciers.

Just to let you know that in my experience you cannot register online with Amtrak.

 

I had to go to the Amtrak depot and complete a registration form.

 

I am still waiting for on line confirmation of my account two days since applying.

 

The system has not yet been set up for individuals ie; pigeon fanciers with a non commercial/business address.

sean m8 i hope u feel the same when u are at the end of ur birds going missing or ur birds dead in a box like some fanciers have had to deal with,uve had good service so far thats y u can comment as u have ,but theres loads out there who are left frustrated by endless fone calls to amtrak without a reason for their (in certain area,s) complete and utter rubbish service.

i made 18 fone calls to find out where my birds were .

recently,they (cardiff depot ) said they couldnt find my order ..yet that morning they confirmed on the fone to me that its been sent and alls well!!.

uve had some luck sean with them and dont think its fair to suggest that u hope they raise it up another £10.

sorry if im wrong but wasnt u left frustrated at someone breaking into ur car? if someone suggested that they hope they take more next time they break into ur car would u feel that would be fair?..i dont think so...just think there are different circumstance in different area,s and those that have good service well good luck but dont condeme those that dont and have their rant about it....once again if im wrong about the car thing i appologise b4 hand....paul :)

sean,wonder if youl still say that when you have the bad expierience with them,i also have a decent cervice with them but also things have gone wrong also,a friend of mine paid 500 quid for a pigeon and because the dozy *expletive removed* coudlnt find his address he let the bird out, >:(

what my car  got to do with you or pigeons

and yes their stole my cd player and 2 days later come back to steal it and then  end up been burnt out in front of my house.

so their did take more but at the end of the day i dont give two fxxks anymore

im having the last laugh now  ;D

i know who's done it their soon forget i want  and thats when things will get messy ;D

I too have always had good service - however, when paying for this by cheque, I have always had to make it out to a company called 'Gemini', not Amtrak  :-/

 

believe it is sub contracted in my area, even though Amtrak vehicles are used, don't know about other areas
