swilcox Posted January 12, 2007 Report Posted January 12, 2007 Im planning an Auction in Scotland at the end of the year for Raymond Moleveld, Gareth Rankin has kindly offered to co-ordinate the booking so thanks Gareth, hopefully the sell will be in lanarkshire (Gareth nentioned Newmains?) So i have 2 questions, Which month would people prefer to see the auction? Which origine of pigeon would most appeal north of the border, or would fanciers prefer a mixture? Familes are Jan Aarden, Hagens, Theelen, Van De Wegen, Kuijpers for the long end. Janssen, De Klak, Van De Pasch, Koopman/Van Dijk, Tournier etc for middle distance. It goes without saying they will all be high in quality and ability!! Please no abuse , many people in scotland have asked us to hold a quality auction so i just need some feedback to ensure we bring the right blood lines. Stuart Wilcox

HOMER49 Posted January 12, 2007 Report Posted January 12, 2007 Hi Stuart Great idea How about some Kannibaals. Newmains excellent for sales central ect Cheers Homer 49
Guest WINGS 04 Posted January 12, 2007 Report Posted January 12, 2007 i think you could bring a mix of birds as up here there we have 9 races old bird races from 60 miles to 250 miles then 3 races from 280 miles to 460 miles that is in lanarkshire and 6 young bird races from 60 to 150miles then the nationals 300 miles to 600 miles hope this helps
GREENGRASS Posted January 13, 2007 Report Posted January 13, 2007 great to see someone consider the fanciers in scotland and set up an auction of quality birds, if any of the scottish fanciers want to see the quality of stuart and raymonds birds i would suggest you payed a visit to their stand at blackpool. i am sure you would get excellent support and i for one would attend.
ALF Posted January 13, 2007 Report Posted January 13, 2007 GREAT IDEA STUART YOUR THE 1ST PERSON OR WELL KOWN STUD TO HAVE A SALE IN SCOTLAND LATELY WELL DONE MATE ;)
noyonnorm Posted January 13, 2007 Report Posted January 13, 2007 I can vouch for the quality of pigeon that Stuart handles, i imported to Australia from Stuart 3 direct Dirk Van Dyck pigeons. All being Grand children of Kanibaal or Bourges. THESE ARE CRACKERS!!!! If his other selections for a sale are as good as these then super quality at a good price is assured.
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted January 13, 2007 Report Posted January 13, 2007 MOST BIG SALES ARE IN NEWMAINS AND A SELECTION OF STRAINS WOULD APPEAL TO MORE WIDER RANGE OF FOLK,A COUPLE OF THE BEST SALES I HAVE BEEN TO WERE IN NOVEMBER
Chris Little Posted January 13, 2007 Report Posted January 13, 2007 Great stuff Stu The only auctions we ever seem to have north of the border are entire claerance sales. Nice to see a quality breeding establishment fetching some birds. Bring plenty Dutch long distance doos
sapper756 Posted January 13, 2007 Report Posted January 13, 2007 Have to agree with all the previous posts, I think it,s a great idea. also believe a variety of strains would be best. VARIETY IS THE SPICE OF LIFE :P :P
celtic Posted January 13, 2007 Report Posted January 13, 2007 I'd go along whatever month it was, heard nothing but good reports about any pigeons from stuart.
