1st club again today but 4hrs 13 min from stonehaven 114 mls worst race yet but managed 17/24 at 7pm

the welsh birds have had a hard one today from maidstone,,we have had 20 from 30 ,,,some are 2 from 20....

Can't say for certain, but NW Open from Wakefield seems to have been a bad one. Best time and returns I heard at clocks [1500] was J Smith, Grangemouth, 12:38 and he had 30/42 then.

 

But majority seem to be poorer returns and others like Plean club had 3/6 members still waiting a timer at clocks. I've only 1/3 at nightfall, and at 14:16, well back.

With the due West winds how are the times and more importantly returns in you area.We have over 50% returns and it is taking them 3hrs 12 minutes to fly 109 miles from Towlaw into the Lanarkshire.Congratulations to the Chief Race Controller for getting a race.

im 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th and 8th Combine 4000+ last week but looks like the pigeon that beat me may be thrown out on improbale velocity, he was doing 1529 into a head wind :X

 

anyone know how they get an improbable velocity?? this could happen to me this week, so far im 110 y.pm in fron of anyone else in the fed how this has happend know 1 knows, no birds have escaped as far as they know, i was doing 1468 and next best is 1350 odd? pleas advise as i dont want to accused of cheating iwould nt know how!! worried sick :-/ :'(

dont know how but im doing 1460 y.p.m from 152 miles? clocked at 12.17 out at 91.15, everyone else i have spoke to is in at 12.50 and above?? surely this is not possible> doing 200 y.p.m more than other people? in todays west wind

 

doing 50 m.p.h then next best i have heard is 43 m.p.h  ??)

 

these are the times, best now is 12.32 flying 2 miles shorter!! thats 15 mins in fron and 2 miles further!!

dont be stupid, yours is perfectly okay , and they determine if on the day if they consider a bird to fly faster than they think is possible they might deem it an immposible velocity and disqualify the bird, has happened to somebody who won a big race and got disqualified, but sometimes they will be wrong because anything is possible

wish i knw bart, only motivation she had was shes been sitting 3 weeks and took her cock away thursday so he could claim a nest box for next year, and she was sitting very tight!! but 17 mins :-/ very questionable me thinks , im worried what people will say, will win £6 for winning the race but cost me £18 for a round of drinks!! ;D

Doubt if improbable velocity would be levelled at your bird for 17 minutes, Pete. Don't get me wrong, 17 minutes is an excellent margin to win by, but last week from 155 miles one of our members won by 35 minutes and nobody thought for a moment that the result wouldn't stand. Like yours, Angus's bird was keen, a young cock sitting chipping eggs.

Have had 2 birds missing from yesterday's Wakefield race work home today making 3/3; and also home today, 1 missing from Ripon the week before, making 6/8 - still 2 missing from that race..

20/24 from stonehaven got 31 ybs useualy got about 9/14 left open race is 2 weeks  we are overstocked for the 1st time in 15 years so as a wee experement were going 2 the national with 2/4 lets see what happens
