retired Posted October 27, 2007 Report Posted October 27, 2007 wanted to go but i realised i could not get to scotland and to the sale to buy something on 40.00. In all seriousness looked some nice birds, i prefer the sales that are not as well advertised for obvious financial reasons :P :P
sapper756 Posted October 27, 2007 Report Posted October 27, 2007 Surely nobody home from the sale yet :-/

swilcox Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 Hello Boys The pigeons made on avaerage just over £105 a bird. The highest was £550 and the lowest was £40. We were very happy with this. The Lightenberg Jan Aarden made good money and 10 were purchased on commision with 7 of those going to Ireland. There were 55 people at the sale which i was a little disapointed with but the most important thing was we now have 60 more pigeons breeding in Scotland and im sure more winners will come. So hopefully by the time the next comes around in two years time people will have more faith in our bloodlines. Stuart
THE FIFER Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 I purchased a pair of ur LIGHTENBERG AARDENS at blackpool and i am very pleased with them, have a few youngsters from them, only raced 2 as youngsters as wanted some for stock, the 2 raced were steady and there for yearlings, i will be putting a youngster from them in the EDINBURGH INTERNATIONAL one loft race 2008, will have to visit u again at blackpool as my pair are breeding all hens, need cocks,, could,nt make it ur sale as the traffic on the bridge was bad. see u at blackpool.
chickadee Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 The sooner they sort that bridge out the better, we even might make it to some sales on time. :
