THE FIFER Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 you must syncronise all clocks before you upgrade to get all info on clocks so when you have upgraded you will be able to download all info from the clocks which has been wiped from the pc.

Hi fifer We do not use Unikon software but FSS so our data CANNOT be removed from our pc Its the point of upgrading the prof system to champ clocks just not sure nogin your clock has been upgraded and reloaded give you it tomorrow so you can be the guinea pig and no drink tonight as yet Cheers Homer 49

ALF Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 Homer i heard that to upgrade our ETS clocks it would mean re-entering all the pigeons onto each clock :-/ :-/ Not sure if this is correct or not but seems like too much hassle if it is.

Hi Alf Do you use the Unikon software ONLY for producing the clubs result Or FSS The main problem with the Unikon software as I see it no place for loading manual clocks but FSS has We still have 2 members who wish to use STBs etc Cheers Homer 49
ALF Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 Not sure what software we use to be honest Homer :B :B But after speaking to our club secretary this week she said that with the new software update we would have to reload all the pigeons already on the clocks as it wipes them all so i dont think we'll be upgrading until we go to the y/b's.

Hi Alf Fifer is correct if you use the unikon software Tip when using FSS since you have lost the clock no found you must reload the number first before reloading the birds So DELETE the origanal clock no and ask FSS to find the number (same number but will not load birds until this is done) Cheers Homer 49
nogin Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 go back to school homer your a bad speller. ;D ;D ;D
HOMER49 Posted March 19, 2008 Author Report Posted March 19, 2008 Hi Good tip If you fly in more that one club Once the details have been feed into your Unikon clock and sychronised Just take the clock to your 2nd or 3rd club and download the details into there pc (means your 2nd or 3rd club do not have to type in all your details of birds nos colour etc Cheers Homer 49
Pompey Mick Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 I've started to use ECS and I've had problems with the colours not being recognised by Unikon, giving a BK reading. This only happens if you use your own abbreviations and not the one on the ECS menu. Unikon recognise the ECS colours OK, so only use them. Bill has just upgraded ECS so that it prints the Address on Race Entry (an RPRA requiremnet) and Ring Assignment forms. The Town has to be entered on the second line of the members address after the Street in the East Coast Software database. If members are using Clocks for other organisations in would be best to upgrade now, because clocks will be automatically upgraded if connected to a 2.8 version Club Master. with possible loss of all data.
HOMER49 Posted March 20, 2008 Author Report Posted March 20, 2008 Hi F***up been on to Unikon today NEW 2.82 Version coming out DO NOT COPY WHAT I DID IT DOES NOT WORK Cheers Homer 49
HOMER49 Posted March 21, 2008 Author Report Posted March 21, 2008 Hi If you are using prof clocks and base stations the upgrade is no problem and works If you are using unikon CHAMP CLOCKS and CHAMP base stations it DOES NOT WORK To his credit D Bald is comming to me tomorrow to see the problem The problem is that the upgraded clocks will not upgrade the champ base stations Cheers Homer 49
rembrant2coo Posted March 21, 2008 Report Posted March 21, 2008 im glad i got a prof 1 now :P :P I,M GLAD I,VE STILL GOT MY S.T.B.QUARTZ
Guest IB Posted March 22, 2008 Report Posted March 22, 2008 Our club ETS clocks had just been done in the last few weeks. The club has re-called them for another software upgrade.
jons_pigeons Posted March 22, 2008 Report Posted March 22, 2008 All Bricon clocks and master systems also should be updated prior to the racing season, the master systems are updated through the club editor program then you upload the new software to the speedys through option 12 on the master and updating the speedy to 007.
pjc Posted March 22, 2008 Report Posted March 22, 2008 Are they all going to have to be upgraded with software every year?
PIGEON_MAN Posted March 22, 2008 Report Posted March 22, 2008 Are they all going to have to be upgraded with software every year? As the systems get more advanced I would think that most of the companies will have upgrades at differant times.
