Guest j v ward Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 which do you think is the best weekly pigeon book the racing pigeon or the british homing world
paddymac Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 Buy both, but have to say the racing pigeon gets my vote
allenyeates Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 B.H.W. without a doubt. Only paper I get now.
Blue Chequer Pied Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 BHW for me dont get the RP now though it used to be the highlight of my week when I was a boy
grizzal Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 we get both, and enjoy reading both paul
Guest Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 I get both and find many of the write ups in one are in the other, but always read BHW first mainly for the ads lol
THE FIFER Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 the RP, more reading and not too many advertising, but enough of it to be interesting,
GRAHAM MITCHELL Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 Used to get them both but stopped the R.P a few years ago when Bobby Kennedy Culzean stopped writing. Only the B.H.W now.
OLDYELLOW Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 the RP, more reading and not too many advertising, but enough of it to be interesting, and you been a scribe omg ;D ;D ;D ;D

Tony C Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 BHW, it fits nicely under the grills of my hen boxes
Guest IB Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 I get the BHW, but can't say I'm 100% happy with it. Takes me all of 15 minutes to skim thro it, and that's usually it, doesn't seem to be enough articles that catch my attention and make me read it, and I stop as soon as I come to the adverts. I tried both RP & BHW for a single week this year, and found exactly the same articles by the same people in both.
jimmy white Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 BHW, it fits nicely under the grills of my hen boxes dont put the blackpool edition under the grills in the hens boxes ;D ;D ;D,,,,,,,,,,,there will be no room for the hen ;D
Tony C Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 dont put the blackpool edition under the grills in the hens boxes ;D ;D ;D,,,,,,,,,,,there will be no room for the hen ;D pmsl ;D
THE FIFER Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 yes this is the problem some scribes are writing an article and sending it to both papers, dont think this should be,
Michael J Burden Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 http://subscriber.pagesuite-professional.co.uk/subscribe.aspx?eid=fd6c94a8-abe4-4879-b04e-6ae2a11ed08d The above link takes you to the digital version of the RP. This has got to be the way forward and I do not see why the BHW has not followed suit. The postal service is so poor or late than it used to be I would sign up for it today.
BANDIT Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 I get both the bhw and the rp , bhw mainly for adds and the rp articles . Both are good reads depending on what you want, I also used to get the pigeon sport but sadly not arround anymore. BANDIT
gangster Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 i get both rp for the read and the bhw for the adverts
pjc Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 BHW and agree with Bandit the Pigeon Sport was also great, usualy get a second hand copy of the RP but never much in it that i havn't already seen. Phil
