Who is the best fancier in the East section of the

The best fanciers are not always those at the top of the sheet, allot more to pigeon racing than being at the top of the sheet, helping new fanciers, promoting the sport, enjoying your birds.

The best fancier I have came across in the east section who I know from personal experience helps the sport & fanciers & new fanciers alike is Ian Chalmers of Falkland,Fife a true gent & fancier it has been my privilege to call a friend for over 10 yrs now, he and his wife Madge always have a warm welcome & a cheery word for all who visit their home in Falkland as I'm sure the webmaster will verify.

The birds I had of Ian (FOC) gave me my greatest thrill in the sport topping the Ayrshire Fed 3000 birds & the west coast combine 5001 birds, I know other fanciers have had birds from Ian & have topped there feds with them too.

I had the pick of Ian's loft just over a year ago when I was making a short lived comeback in the sport out of these 4 pairs I bred for my pal 6 yb's in the January 4 of these 6 birds scored prizes both North & south road one red hen winning the strong Hurlford HS two weeks running ......5 of the 6 remain.

Ian Chalmers a true Dooman & friend.

forget about who is best every fancier is only as good as the last race the most important issue is getting your own birds ready for the comming season ahead iam sure the fanciers that has been mentioned is only interested in next race or national to come a little bit of advice do the same get off your AR... and put that wee bit extra into getting your birds better you will get your just rewards every sport is the same you only get out of what is put in  8)  8)  8)

Over the last 40 years for consistency very few have matched Peter Virtue,  and head over heels the top man in SNRPC since its formation at all race distances.

peter virtue is without doubt one of the best ,in recent years flying with the snrpc his results are amazing ,when most are still waiting on a time in peters only waiting on one or two from a team of 10/12.Even before the split he had fantastic results as well winning  1st open beauvais ,then another 1st open i think with peter thorpe? a fantastic pigeon.

not right mate definately a buschaert, i'll speak to peter  virtue and ask him, im sure he told me it was a buschaert, van loons /lafeber dhenens  would'nt fly 500 miles in a hard day like it was when peter thorpe excelled.

Oldyellow I could be wrong as well but i thought Peter Thorpe was a Buschaert as well, Great pigeon and i remember one year from the Rennes Kings cup it was a east wind and peter thorpe was 3rd or 4th open flying away out on the east coast into Cockburnspath which was a fantastic performance that night.
