hotrod Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 Its for 10 old bird and 6 young bird races. Yes Stuart it counts the 2 inland nationals + Falaise . If you go through the national you still have to pay the national birdage . If you are lucky enough to fly a big team you certainly get value for money at £65.00 well thats much cheaper than it used to be when i raced in fenfrew /ballochmile amal as you still had to pay for channel race on top mate, and renfrew is going with glasgow this year , i was wondering how this could be sustained , check the deficit next year , it WILL be much much higher next year me thinks, think kenny boy should have checked all this out before any figure was maid
Williedoo Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 aberdeen fed £115 for the whole year as many birds as you can muster up ;) This includes our Fed fee and helps club secs as they dont have to handle money every weak.
walterbmasson Posted February 13, 2009 Author Report Posted February 13, 2009 willie does your fed members all go to inland races with SNFC OR DOES YOUR OWN TRANSPORTER GO TO THAT RACE POINTS ALSO JUST WANDERING 8) 8) 8)
Williedoo Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 Our Fed races from Newbury and Eastbourne are conveyed by the SNFC.
walterbmasson Posted February 13, 2009 Author Report Posted February 13, 2009 ITS A BIG HELP GETTING THE BIRDS TRANSPORTED IT WAS TAKEN UP AT OUR AGM BUT WASNT VOTED ON WHICH I THOUGH WAS A BAD DECISION 8) 8) 8)
BLACK W F Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 Walter long ago Aberdeen fed and the north fed and the highlands fed went to gether to the longest o/b races but what happened factions in aberdeen and the north caused problems so now the north are on their own losing money at these longest race points hopefully in the future some thing can be resolved and we all go together you know the story the same as i do Walter cheers Alan
Williedoo Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 Allan,if Aberdeen Fed went to our two longest races under our own steam we would be out of pocket by at least £1000.
kirky Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 you will find its 34/36p per race but when it gets a bit farther it would go up significantly, we find that once payed, then no more weekly birdage charge, then more money goes on the pools. we only pay extra when we go over to french race points, its 35p down to coast 245miles.
BLACK W F Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 Willie i know your fed would be well out of pocket just like the north is out of pocket what i was pointing out it would be great if the feds went together again but the same people from both feds would do all to stop it thats what happened last time as well you know its a pity cheers Alan
walterbmasson Posted February 13, 2009 Author Report Posted February 13, 2009 Allan even the last race convoyed by SNFC would be a lot of help what date is eastborne this year willie 8) 8)
walterbmasson Posted February 13, 2009 Author Report Posted February 13, 2009 that is 2weeks before our hastings 4th july i cant see the members starting 2weeks early thanks willie 8)
Williedoo Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 Walter, thats why we have to start on 18/4/09,does not suit everyone, but thats how it works out.
Roland Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 £115 for whole year now thats cheap Would suit me. I pay over that for one club ... and weekly prices in another North Rd. club. now If I paid justrt tha for one... and club fees only at another, then I'd be qiddies in. Golly if the two clubs took it in turns to charge individually for birds on rotating years then every second year one would really be putting ome monies together. But that will never happen.... because (Unlike ME) they'd only send in the club who's turn it was for one off payment. If one gets my drift. Obviously both clubs wouldn't be able to charge the one payment... but club Fees only and then if only 15p a birds sent in that club... it would go straight into the coffers. Niether club has duplicates here... indeed can't of hand think of any now thy do. Rusden and Irthingborough both now defunct. As is Kettering and One Corby club and Fidon, A Wellingborough, and... bit depressive here, think I'll shut up lol.
walterbmasson Posted February 13, 2009 Author Report Posted February 13, 2009 roland club fees is your club additional monies in clubs is for trophies pools etc i still think going by the distance our fed radious covers its the cheapest you will get new members welcome 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)
jont Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 yes walter. north of scotland fed has a 150mile pick up and goes to every race point on our own. 15 pound fed fees 20pence birdage up to 330mile 45 pence at360mile 50 pence at 490mile. and its because off this cheap prices membership has remained at about 165 for the last 25 years. i believe that this cheap policy has proved a winner when most feds in the country have lost about 50 percent members. keep up the good work. john thompson.

I totally agree John. As I said before the North of Scotland Fed is a great example to many and does a tremendous job against a very difficult logistic situation every week. As you say 150 mile trip to collect all the clubs before even leaving to go to the race point. The Fed has been in good hands for many many years with first class people at the helm long may it continue. Paul Thomson.
walterbmasson Posted February 14, 2009 Author Report Posted February 14, 2009 yes JOHN will have to do our best BY THE WAY WILL BE CONTACTING YOU AND YOUR MATE WALTER FOR A COUPLE OF YOUNGSTERS EACH I DONT KNOW IF GRAHAM TOLD YOU OR NOT MUST BE DIRECT OFF WINNERS [ IS THAT A GOOD START ] [ MAY GET A FEW SINGLES FROM ABERDEEN FANCIERS ] 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)
