From what I have heard, we are not the only Fife club, that have experienced difficulties with our ETS for our first race, following the recent updates :-/

Trained tonight, and all trainers registered on my Unikon system OK. Still left with a 'defective' ring, assigned 26/2/09, tested then & OK, and shown on assignment lists dated 17th & 23rd April, then 'dud' at marking on 24th?

Thought this ETS was meant to be simply.Seems that there is more underlying problems with these systems than first anticipated. :-/. Can honestly say with all the problems that are coming to light, in more than one instance,i am not being convinced that i should invest the necessary funds to set up my lofts with ets at this moment in time.But with the ever increasing complications with these systems is it not about time that the manufacturers and sales persons that promote ets get their fingers out of their arses and sort it out. :-/ :-/ :-/

Carlukes all fixed it was ECS to blame would not read from the Unikon clocks

doing and concluded that it was a software problem from ECS

So I  carried out a complete re installation

Would have to agree with a comment made by Vincent earlier in the thread which was about the ETS companies getting there finger out as every year seems to be the same with them,

 

1.Updates out only a couple of weeks before the season starts,

2.Ets rings not recording mostly with unikon.

3.Generally programs that are not mug proof for the average fancier / club worker, and sometimes you would need to be IT expert in which to deal with some of the issues that materialises with them.

 

ETS !! Bloody brilliant

Got to agree with Gareth on this one. I've had Unikon since 2001 y/b season and not had a problem once, (touch wood) :) although the last minute updates are a joke.

Surprisingly, NONE of the UNIKON REPS have made any comment on the current situation fanciers using their products, are experiencing :-/ as I have stated already, we have been using this system for 3 years now, with no problems, but I believe the recent UPDATE is to blame for all the hassle. Leave the systems alone, don,t fix what isn,t broken :-/ and yet again the most recent update which I was told by UNIKON Rep at Blackpool would be out within 2 weeks, and only got it 2weeks b4 the first race, NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

Hi Folks,

             I suppose I have had as much trouble as anyone in setting up my ETS.  I was lucky enough to take the Red Card on Sat but there's nothing more certain that if I hadn't of had the system working, my pigeon wouldn't of had the 1st prize it deserved because I couldn't of timed quick enough to beat the 2nd fancier who was also on ET.

It really does make you wonder if they know what is causing all these problems,they bring the updates out only weeks before we need to use them and then we are scratting around trying to get everything to work properly before the first race.I,m sure they dont know what  efect these new updates will have on the existing system as they allways seem to cause other problems

took um till 4 days before first race to sent club clock they kept saying they never had forms plus loads calls ;D ;D ;D

maybe the unions should remove unikon from the approved list until they can resolve the problems!

I'm sure they would get there fingure out then!

on a thread on pb a while ago about which was the best ets to buy just about everyone on here said unicon ,have they now changed their mind i wonder? i will keep using my t3s for now .
