Just been having a few conversations here about which way a loft should face for the best results and i was wondering what the fanciers on here think is best and why?

i have mine facing directly south [i was told that was best] they can get a bit hot in summer, and i would have preferred southeast, but for my garden size and direction,i do not think loft direction matters that much it just means the loft comes into form a bit later if it faces north[in my view]

good question, mine faces south as thats what i was told to do, but cant see it makes that much difference really, i just know with all the stong south winds of late, it does get a bit wetter!

As long as the ventilation is right and there are good doos in it face it any way you like ;)

The loft i have up at the new address presently faces North although when i put my big loft up it will be facing south.

No other reason as thats where i chose for it on the garden

when racing from the west best to face south because thats the direction the birds come home but racing up the east face loft in direction of coatbridge because birds seem to come out of the northish direction?
