sent my birds to the first return race today bath 40 miles first bird back at 1130 libbed at 1045 would she come in ?NO she flew round and round and then went off till 4pm before she went in gutted now best vali would have had this year and she would not trap well she will go to lessey 193 miles in 3 weeks

hi mat, there is always a reason why they dont trap cos you dont know there as

got to be some thing wrong , yb do your head in i know but ask your self some questions

first before doing any thing silly .

hi kev it was only the first bird that played up bird 2 came streight in no problem .

 

dogeons bird done the same as yours when we went to the club there was 3/4 saying the same  thing :-/

Maybe it's you thats freaking the bird out mate maybe time to relax with them a bit ;)

i know how you feel , last time i raced yb about 3 seasons ago i sent to the

devon and cornwall continental club from the isle of wight any age race

my first one come sat on roof for 6 mins , i ended up 11th open but should have been

in the top 3 that,s why i got no hair .

i know you had this prob the other week pete maybe its just the birds this time of year.

ALF i cant see its me if they are out in the garden and i shake the tin they will fly to me and land on my hand so they are tame and use to me as i alway teach them to hand feed too .

It's not down to being hand fed and tame mate it's about getting them to trap when they come and if you are nervous when they come home they sense it and wont trap

Been among pigeons a long time,it's always the first pigeon that's  nervous,it's probably flew a fair bit on it's own,there aren't as many birds around as there usually are, just that something different will upset the bird.Unless you've got a crank,there's always one.Give it a chance mate,it's just a baby.

well i`ll hold her back now till the last 2 races 111 miles and 193 and see how she comes any other time they trap as soon as i call them in . i was not nervous at all alf so why do you say that? i`m the same with my birds weather its a race day or just loft flying so would have nothing differant for them to see or sense .

got 1 that will not go through the trap (ets) but always waits for me to open the door

allows me to pick up and swipe across the pad,

guess which was first home today lol

 

 

 

strange things pigeons eh?
