Bigda, you right the Fed had to stand the cost of prize money, but if we had gone by ourselves we would have to have paid out your quoted 3000 pounds prize money

PLUS cover the cost of haulage, convoyers wages, feeding, liberation licence,

etc, etc, this could not have been covered by entries/birdage, so where is the loss, i can only see gains.

Frank I studied the race program from the top table and thought it was excellent

a well balanced program for our yearling's through to Maidstone

But when you have people whoses self interest over rides the majority of Lanarkshire members

them Lanarkshire should be called The Pinky and Perky fed

I did not see one member from Lanark or the Forth who are totally pissed of

with a certain element of Lanarkshire and its obsession with the SNFC races

Bigda it would not be the pilgrims who would baulk at £1-- 2-50 to go by ourselves it would be the vast majority of the Fed members who would go mental if they had to pay this for an inland race.I dont know what you are on about with regard Ypres it is the perfect racepoint and distance for a Fed channel race and the vast majority of the Fed membership are in favour of it, and for the pilgrims in the west sect of the SNFC it is the one race where we are possibly not disadvantaged by our location against the rest of Scotland.

Homer, i think Lanark and Forth have there own agenda and it is nothing to do with the SNFC, as for the other 400, if they cant be bothered to get of their arses to attend then they couldnt have been that interested in the first place, you can only go by the majority vote of those who are interested enough to attend.

Look, there is no *expletive removed* way you have a loss if you are convoyed by an other organisation to a channel race. You know, it is a funny thing, how ignorant pigeon men can be sometimes. Imagine the SNFC suddenly refused to take feds and decided themselves, to get convoyed , maybe with the UNC or the NFC to their races. Think how federations would struggle , maybe not right away, but in a few years time, when their membership had dwindled even more. Lets stop the crap lads and just enjoy our pigeons. I think Gareth Rankin put the time and effort into working out a suitable race programme  for the east coast and has the Lanarkshire federations best interest at heart , i think he shows good leadership and the majority vote was for going with the SNFC so thats history lets hope we get favourable racing in 2010.

find it hard to find negatives regarding sending to the longer races with the national. :-/ :-/ :-/dont know the programme for 2010 but it appears the lanarkshire will be going east,a very wise move. :)
