Just now my own get a 50/50 mix of 4 seasons/horse beans and in the other end of the feeder i have chicken layer pellets they get it filled to the brim and take what they want and then when i am leaving i fill it again after they have had a good feed so they are never short 8)

Egg food and maple peas in individual pots and feeders full(corn + layers pellets) - enjoy it while you can, throw it all round the loft! - just wait till the YBs are away ;D ;D ;D

Don't measure corn at the minute with YB's in the nest. If it looks like it'll hold corn .........fill it !!!!!

Feed plenty, and don't worry if there's a bit of waste. Horse it into 'em   ;)

as much as they wont fill trough up with mix of vip with added maples so loads of peas,maple,beans plus a few smaller seeds when i see it neally empty i fill it back up dont starve in my lofts birds aint looking bad of it as well flying for good 1 hr morning and night now and ive never flagged them they do it on there own back.

If you want a cheaper pellet than G10s better with Chick growing pellets

I was told by a fancier who tried both types(layers & growers) that growers do the biz but the YBs go backwards once they are withdrawn.

i got some young last year from a guy (alfs mate) his young birds were massive compared to mine

so layers pellets added to the feed for me this year

USED THE LAYER PELLETS FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS AND Y/B'S ARE ALWAYS BRILLIANT ON THEM SO I'LL STICK WITH THEM 8) 8) 8)
