jimmy white Posted July 6, 2008 Author Report Posted July 6, 2008 It was commemorating the thousands of soldiers killed in the First World War battles around the Somme at Ypres, and Passchendale (spelling). Many of them not much older than yourself, Ben. It may become an annual event. (Hopefully). and let us never forget that , many pigeons also saved many soldiers lives , and delivered some valuable information [see war pigeons posts] a great gesture by fanciers who entered , a good p,r o should make the best of that ,i,e news etc as these pigeons also battled in terrible weather to get home

peterh127 Posted July 10, 2008 Report Posted July 10, 2008 Nice to see a result of a channel race open to all of Scotland. See it can be done
JOHNNY WISHBONE Posted July 10, 2008 Report Posted July 10, 2008 Yes and the way things are going with entries and costs etc its time all the power hungry people banged their heads together and started kicking the one ball for the sake of the sport in Scotland.
johno Posted July 10, 2008 Report Posted July 10, 2008 the race was not open to all the pigeon fancy in scotland. some members of the rpra flying in scotland were not able to participate. well known fanciers from the east of scotland.
peterh127 Posted July 10, 2008 Report Posted July 10, 2008 Yes your right sorry. Nearly but not quite went the whole mile what a pity
andy Posted July 10, 2008 Report Posted July 10, 2008 the race was not open to all the pigeon fancy in scotland. some members of the rpra flying in scotland were not able to participate. well known fanciers from the east of scotland. Johno read the post before yours. Your one of them that needs their heads banging together judging by the tone on most of your posts.
johno Posted July 10, 2008 Report Posted July 10, 2008 good to hear from the voice of reason. you seem to be all in favour of banging heads if your posts on certain individuals are anything to go by.
