welcome 2 the lanarkshire kelso fed every budys happy transporter bulging with does  yet whate 2 c wot will hapen next year  when the does go by 150 miles all will be blamed perigens bad race controllers you name it but the truth is 4 kelsos stop racing bread of them the cycle begins again 3 generations of doos not flowing 200mls

Said the same thing for a few years now Tam, has to be said a big part of losses is because of fanceirs breeding from yearlings that as young birds have not flown by 70 miles and this goes on generation after generation.

no a think we are missing the big picture here ,its all about taking us for every penny we have got ,the less losses they have the more youngins they will have for next weeks open ,gone are the days when they put the fancier first, now its all about how much money can they make of us gullible lot

Must say I cant agree with the above statement, some of the finest distance fanciers never race their young birds and i would of thought that they would still breed of them as yearlings, also what about people who breed latebreds and put them straight in the stock loft the following year they have never been trained let alone raced.

Hi

Lanarkshire will be basketing on Friday as usual if this changes I will post what is happening

Jim Hannah has been given full control of moving birds where and when

Cheers

Homer 49

like to think he has had full control since he took the job nobody apart from you and him should decide what time the birds go or if the weather is inclement then we should be brought back only on the controllers say so

but if we are brought back what about another race from otterburn before tow law? midweek

Posted

quite agree with that, bart, birds first, race second, distance third,

open fourth, then extra race if needed,if fed delegates  can decide

they should consider this :)

your one is in the race basket Robert

Hi Harry good to see that.

The hawk had it's father---that's the only explanation for a stock cock missing in August.

Ayrshire not basketing Friday will update tomorrow.

at the race programme meeting hopefully lanarkshire fed delegates or offcails  can have a race programme laid out that is suitable for both drivers and birds

people shouting place's to go with no idea if the transporters  can get in or water/toilets are available

ok saying its an rpra site but if its no good

I think we'll have a very good chance of a race from Otterburn in the morning but better set the alarms early ;) ;D ;D

king billy maybe a wee bit harsh on your fed and programme so far, theirs still plenty of time to sort them out over the next few weeks so dont wish them away just yet, please accept this from a fancier who has been racing youngsters from the traditional route over the past few seasons and has found the losses unacceptible to say the least! while looking through the recent snfc falaise result it makes very good reading for lanarkshire fanciers timing many 2 and 3 yr old birds taking top open positions just wondering how these birds were schooled as youngsters?? ;) ;) good luck from otterburn. :) :)

yes got too agree with your point with regards breeding but will disagree with your logic about schooling, "king billy" at least now the lanarkshire convoy has gained  some experience  hopefully standing them in good stead over the next  few weeks which will definately be testing!!  ;) ;) ;):)
