budgie Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 Unsettled with Sunshine and Heavy Showers along with Strong Southwesterly Tail Winds. Lanarkshire are sitting at Wakefield some 180 mls with around 5800 birds and i think the only chance of a Liberation is to get away by 8.00am. In Scotland we have 6 Feds @ Ripon.2@Wetherby,2@Stafford,3@Wakefield,1@Witton Castle,1@Kingussie,1@Leyland and 1@Arniston Good Luck to All.

budgie Posted May 15, 2009 Author Report Posted May 15, 2009 With the Race now cancelled and further to reviewing forecasts i believe the correct judgement was made by the controller. The only slight chance would have been Saturday at around 4.00pm from either Kelso/Otterburn.Hindsight is a great attribute which only a few possess but my main concern is what we have in place in the way of transport should next day marking be required in the future. I am as disappointed as every other Fancier in Lanarkshire but you can be confident that the Office Bearers have only the best interests and the safe return of your pigeons contrary to what is rumoured.Lets move on and keep the chins up. :(
