I agree that clashing is the most likely cause of these losses.

This would best be investigated by someone sitting down with pen and paper and plotting where all the feds were in the area and times of liberation.

They may need to make a few enquiries but it may be a worthwhile exercise.

It will never bring the birds back but may serve as a lesson for the future.

It might be a worthwhile exercise that all feds who use the BHW service to provide historical feedback on when they liberated to allow investigations if required.

 

Now---I believe there is some type of communication monitoring station to the north of Harrogate. I have photographs of this cannot remember the exact location. It is a collection of huge spherical recievers or transmitters---could there have been abnormal operations here today?

 

I sympathise with all who have been dealt a hammer blow today.

Good post Novice, its all right trying to put blame on someone but things have to be learnt for the future of the sport.

Just going by what is printed the BHW Stevie, in the race programme section J Hannah is quoted as being your guys race controller.....  ;)

 

it says he is the race controler in this weeks bhw,  for next weeks race from otterburn  ;D

The ayrshire north road liberated at arbroath at 07.30 this morning and by all reports the returns are not good . I have 27 out of 57 . The first birds back bang on time then nothin . Sounds like just one of those days.   :'( :'(

looks like the drinks are on the fat controller on sunday in the doo club newmains as he appears to have won the 2 club races newmains and camby if this is the case well done andy.

The MacAloneys had a bird reported at 3.00 pm from todays race at MARYPORT

only the Irish sea stopped it going to Ireland

got told tonight that there was  a few scotch birds dropping in with our birds today from stafford, we were liberated at 9-30?????  maryport cumbria

there were batches in the 50's passing through newmains around the 9.45am mark i expect these were the aryshire birds on schedule.

Sure was one of those days Kenny lets hope the weather holds out a bit tomorrow so they can work there way back..

think the come back race will come in handy this week to get the wounded back on the road  :o but bad place to lib from otterburn  :o :o :o :-/ ;D
