cowman Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 ive had 2/3 hard race and our fed glos fed is useless hold the birds back till 11.45 then lib when they are going to clash with midlands national birds and national birds on route home what a waste of money this week the race controler wants stringing up.
magpie Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 You should count yourself lucky to get two out of three Cowman. We sent 10 Ybs to NFC Fougeres and haven't seen a feather. Winners were doing 1300 up the east side of the country but in this area it was a disaster. The few fanciers who did bother to send after seeing the forecast for strong west/nwest winds in the Channel were fortunate to get any at all and those which did make it were mainly doing below 800ypm. Incidentally several of ours had already been over the Channel twice in recent weeks.
Guest gladdo Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 our race was extremely quick yesterday .... v strong wind behind them ... they released at 12.30 pm and winner was at 2.28 pm... he had it there at 2.26 pm and it was nommed, declared to win , pooled all the way... great flying john o callaghan.... cabra r.p.c ... more than a mile a minute ...132 miles john flying from race point.... mikey ..(.dublin , ireland )
Guest gladdo Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 john yes sorry very fast race as you can see mate but thats pigeon racing ...the best bird s on the day always wins and all you can do is prepare better the following week.... im thinking of keeping these back until next year...lates have 2 races under there belts and the others have full program under there belt until now...have 2 pigeons there htat also flew talbenny on a very hard day !!!!! delighted all round but going to let these lates fall apart and moult through now i think ...mikey ...
