Guest ROCKYandRAMBO Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 thats late breds for you mate very hard to get them going , you will be ok just cocentrate on your young birds , and theres plenty of time for them to work there way in yet mate
pjc Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 what time were they up? Latebreds are better left until May when weather is warmer!
yorkie Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 early days yet mate, some will be home before dark hopefully and next morning, we all have to start somewhere and from memory we flew about 3 seasons before we won a race, good birds are hard to come by, regardless of how much money you spend. The season will have a few twists and turns yet.

Guest IB Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 Hope you get them. Stick with it. Not many Highs, but you need just the One to wipe out all the lows. Still next week you know ...
pigeons widow Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 Hopefully they will be back in the morning Klaus. We are waiting on 8 out of 16, most are latebreds but two are experienced flyers.
fletch Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 dont be to down haerted mate, remember that they are latbreeds and they will be learning these first few races so give them a chance

billt Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 Thats pigeon racing Klaus, you can put a lot of effort in but at the end of the day the birds are racing on their own, were returns bad for club or was it you who had a bad day
demolition man Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 This sort of knock will make you mate, good flyers are those that can take a knock and come back stronger, and i know you can do it klaus so chin up mate

OLDYELLOW Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 sorry to hear this Klaus , im not a lover of latebreds as too erractic , spend your time with your ybs there the future of your loft , dust yourself off and come back fighting , im more than sure you'l make a good fancier all in good time , all the best Regards Mark
carlsberg Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 i sent 13 birds to the 1st race of which 8 were late breds and have 4 back only have 6 back in total but the 1st 3 were latebreds there is plenty of time for them to return so dont be downhearted also mine have only had 5 chucks 2@8mls 2@15mls and 1 @25mls
pjc Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 latebreds are a waste of time and effort unless you have a lot of patience and are prepared to wait until the weather warms up!
