Why was Louella selling a pigeon with one eye for I think £150 ?

really?? was it blind or had a knock? was it worth £15o in your opinion? as it doesnt need them for breeding, must have been half decent for £150, but i bet they took it home with them  ;)

I hav'nt seen a decent sale bird from them in years. The all-fair auctions not too bad, but i went to one 2 years back, asked to handle a hen and she was full of canker, i told the lad and he just said "ok mate", but she was still sold!!

I thought the majority of pigeons at the show were presented well but were not bought by me as they were not of the strain/line/type I was looking or which appeal to my tastes but I wont be slagging them off for that reason -  It would appear that those who were snapping up Louella birds at the auctions and off the stand havent a clue what they are doing which should be of benefit to those on this site racing against them ;D ;D ;D  My mate who regularly tops the fed bought in LPW Lindelaufs, he is obviously on the slippery slope downwards!!!!!

They have all jumped on the band wagon , bringing the unwanted  rubbish to ofload at blackpool.

I think they were some nice pigeons at the louella stand i handled one which was £45 and it was a cracker the only thing about it was it was thick with quill mite went back to it 20 mins later and it was sold, but i agree louella could do alot more in the presentation of there stock that was the worst mite infestation ive ever seen.

Well, never went... money I saved will repay the missis for the new front door. Now I did do well there. Worth over £700 and I paid just over half price.... but got thenm to fit it.

Now in the next few weeks Louella WILL be selling some decnt stuff if you take time choosing and looking into. £30 - £50 and will be worth every penny in today's climat.

I'm 14 cock birds light .... but will just fly the hens celibacy till end of May Beginning of June for the longer races.... Oh yeah :-/ they will be mated to cock birds already mated...  ;)

Hi Alan .If you remember back to late summer and the quality of the 2 red pouw pigeons i bought in .

They were in great order ,feather texture , bright eyed , alert ,and bought from a web site .

What do you think has happened with the louella birds this year? .In the BHW .The jan ardens, louella were using as sales examples were looking superb ..Did you see any of those that were advertised ??

Went to LPW sale in the Merry England bar on the Friday and they were very poor. One jan arden hen was in the BHW and looked the part, but when our Colin took it out the pen it was covered in quill lice. Not impressed at all.
