Chairman Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 I would have thought the stock birds may have gone to his friends Prost Roosens or Felix Pauwels, maybe Derek Pedley could be the man to enlighten us all?

Roland Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 Bill Butterfield - formerly from Monkey hanging' place excells big time with them. Still able to replenish... but he is in Canada. Seen quite a few that have them, but having a 'Senior' moment as to who and where...
Ian Gill Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 Most of Jans main pigeons went to the Far East in the late eighties through Herbots Bros...My friends had the pick of them before they went and I was lucky enough to purchase 15 direct pair. These included brothers and sisters to the bourge national winner, sons and daughters of the Orleans 1 and 11 ,the Goede Yearling etc etc. Felix Pauwels based his early pigeons around 4 birds he bought from Grondelaer and then he had a brother of Jans Bourge National winner of 85/6 which he called Broer for some reason lol
DeDarren Posted December 23, 2008 Report Posted December 23, 2008 I don't know if he still races, but a fellow by the name of Jimmy Banks of Southport had an outstanding family of Grondelaers, winning out of turn as I remember. A former clubmate bought some latebreds off him about 4-5 years ago, they were beautiful pigeons.
Speed Demon Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 Hi all, A Maltese mate of mine was given a pair of Grondalier nest mates to race this season. We've searches the net and many Pigeon Forums and only found that they might be of Maltese origin. Does anyone else have more info on them? Cheers - Speedy
