Me personnally  think a bit different cos i think a bird thats won the nat the next day has a lot of guts to get going again especially after a 6.30 lib. and flying your distance Walter

 

If all had timed on day  its obviously an easier race ,  think i would take your 2nd day winner first JMO

After a 7am liberation (Sartilly) I timed in 7.20pm (Dumbarton) I would imagine the wind has one of the biggest bearings on the race as well as good birds

again walter i agree what some consider a hard race some might think it was fairly easy and as the old saying goes every fancier is his own race controller but i think you will agree that most who,s birds might not be good/fit enough are all ways looking for a scape goat that normanly means the race controller i was at that race if it was the one where only 21 made it home in race time was it 2000 all iam saying i thimk as far as the race controller is concerned 6am is the time he needs to aim for to allow him time to do his job right so the only way would be for you or another north boy to take that job and go for it
