i did a few years back, i put mine in a blender then put them before the birds they was a bit shy at first, once they got the taste they luved them

we give carrots to our 500/600 mile birds for 1 week before the long races so they can see better in the dark on there journey home.

have gave them in the past /feed them corn in the pick stone pots in the nest box  once there are weaned i found feeding them carrots in the pots they eat them no problem

Regarding what goes into the water. We use our famous cabbage and carrot juice along with garlic,four Times a week.

i put a carrot and some cabbage in the blender with half a cup of water then tip that into the water of 2 four pint drinkers  took em a while to get a taste for it but they drink it now no probs  gives em lovely feathering   kev
