mac1 Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 i will be using bos pellet again this breeding season, bred good ybs last time
Guest The main Mahon Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 Layers pellets are Chicken feed pellets and they cost chicken feed as well. A sack of 25kg costs about £6. to £7. I dread to think how much BOS or G10's would cost for 25kg. I bet it would be about 2 or 3 times the price.
mark croker Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 i will be using bos pellet again this breeding season, bred good ybs last time Same with me mate, best breeding season i have ever had, full round, never done that in my life, will not change a thing this year,

hotrod Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 i have used the g 10,s and am very happy with them and have put some top flyers onto them as well ,i feed around 20/25% pellets to 75/80 % seed to my young and they fly for nearly 2 hours every night no probs ,i have found if you feed the birds them as young they will eat pellets all there life ,but if you were to give say a 4/5 year old they will turn their nose up at them unless very hungry .ps since feeding my youngsters these pellets i have had no ailments at all with the young .TOP NOTCH

alex wight Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 I used chicken layer pellets last year, the first for me. The only thing i didnt like about them was the droppings were quite loose. is there anything that can be mixed through the pellets to firm the droppings?
BLACK W F Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 yes you tend to find they a bit loose depends how much you feed try the rearer pellets for breeding feed 30-50 percent other 50per cent normal mix remember they tend to drink more water when feeding

ally mac Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 Has anyone compared Bos pellets with G10, the boss are about 3 quid cheaper and contain orego stim.
alex wight Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 have you tried the bos pellets before mate No, as i say it was my first year using any kind of pellet last year. They are quite easy to get and cheap as well. I may look into trying them this year though.
cemetary Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 Used the boss this year, the birds ate them alright, no problems with them getting left in the hopper, so i will be using them again,
