Roland Posted December 1, 2019 Report Posted December 1, 2019 Well has any new proposition been ventured in your club? Wouldn't venture fed.
philg50 Posted December 2, 2019 Report Posted December 2, 2019 Nae a lot interested me thinks friend.
REDCHEQHEN Posted December 3, 2019 Report Posted December 3, 2019 A bit early for some AGM's, ours won't be until around 22nd January - and there will be a few proposals - and no doubt many complaints! A few new members and a couple of resignations
Roland Posted December 3, 2019 Author Report Posted December 3, 2019 I think, any new change of worth, could, and should have been discussed well in the close season. Then an extraordinary meeting called if warranted. Smaller, the not so important per usual when corridor politics have made a few choices to be heard at the A.G.M. etc. Outing their chests so to speak. … nothing more mostly I fear.
Kyleakin Lofts Posted December 3, 2019 Report Posted December 3, 2019 Truth be told Roly. Very few people now wish to serve their Clubs, Feds or Unions. Those that so do are derided as being in it for themselves or for having something to gain from it, "puffing out their chests". I serve as Secretary to two Federations and attempt to carry out the will of my Members. I serve on the Committee of the SHU, again attempting to carry out the will of my Federation Members where they do not conflict with the needs of the Union. People who serve on Committees must uphold the rules of their organisation and advise the Members when they stray from them. They should attempt to show good governance of their society. There are very few left with the knowledge and ability so to do AND prepared to put their head above the parapet in this age of complainers and cynics.
Roland Posted December 4, 2019 Author Report Posted December 4, 2019 As I've often posted Kyleakin Lofts, and with facts and truths and experiences, The pigeon fancy is, and are their own worst enemy. Short sighted and selfish apathy is well and truly dug in. the misbegotten notions of 'Only for themselves' and follow 'He who tickles ears' ETC. is jealously guarded to theirs's and the sport's detriment I'm afraid. Will say though the whinging and moaning - will be back this season big time though - did lessen. Maybe because of the embarrassment they had heard, seen and could have done or helped earlier was fresh in the memory. They WILL definitely be forgotten, I BELIEVE this coming season.
