Over the past few years, the 3 Clubs local to myself have all seen a major reduction in members.

How many members are there in your club currently?

Which club do you fly with?

How much has the membership reduced over the past few years?

What if anything, can fanciers do to encourage folks to take up the sport and join their local club?

thank you in advance

You have to much time on your hands mate....every club is losing members...this sport used to be great...basketing nights...clock reading...presentation nights ..all good craic.....but hawks and weather has made it a lottery....which unfortunately it looks like the doo men won’t win.

Can’t see how we can intice new folk into the sport .

Imagine tell a new start you will start with 24 ybs...and if everything goes welll you might have 8 .....at best at the end of the season.

Burtonwood H.S. had 30 members at one time but over the years it's dropped to 14 and if we get 10 sending that's a good week. It's mainly an age problem here the two youngest members are 60 the rest of us have turned 70. We have had our headquarters at 3 pubs and although the regulars always showed an interest that's as far as it went.
